Turkey

A DISCONTENTED ARMY. DESERTERS FROM THE TURKS United Press Association. (Keceived 9.35 a.m.) Sofia, July 26.

Turkish deserters state that there is a strong demand for peace among the Turkish officers and men, all of whom consider there is no chance of success for Germany. German officers shot at a group of soldiers leaving the firing line, and the Turkish officers and his men immediately killed the Germans. Colonel Von Leipzig was killed under similar circumstances. Reserve troops in the Chataldga lines under General Von Sanders mutinied, and Enver Pasha had to intervene, and finally he sent the troops to the interior, replacing them by Asia Minor contingents.
