Austey. the Prime Minister said that the matter ol introducing legislation providing tor capitalisation ol postponed rents ot settlement and Crown lands, in cases where tenants are nnahle to pay their postponed rents at the end of tin* postponed period, was receiving consideration.
Mr Newman ashed the Prime Minister whether he will state what steps (if any) lie has taken to lorm a National Cabinet.
Mr M assey : The matter referred to is still under consideration, and no •statement such a s suggested can he made at the present.
Replying to Mr Myers, the Minister of Defence said the question of compilation of a national register ot males of serviceable age in the Dominion was under consideration.
Replying (o Mr Myers, the Minister of Railways said that experiments in regard to automatic devices for level crossings had been successful, hut owing to the war the necessary material is only coming forward slowly.
