GENERAL CABLES.
BILLIARDIST CRAY BANKRUPT. United Press Association. July 20. Harry Gray, the billiardist, is bankrupt, with liabilities of £I6OO and assets nil. The bankrupt stated that he had paid John Roberts the amount of the verdict with the assistance of Mr Wootton, to whom he owed £IO2O, which he intended eventually to pay fully. Billiards had been bad since the war, and he was entirely dependent on his son’s aid.
“ON THE PASSAGE.“ London, July 20. The Income Tax Commissioners applied to the King’s Bench to allow assessment in the estate of William Huxley, jockey, who is an infant. Mr Justice Darling said: The boy gets on a horse with no property and dismounts worth a thousand. Should a guardian he appointed in transitu P —(Laughter). Rule granted.
