AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. Notwithstanding tho adverse weathor conditions of last night, a good audience greeted the “Colonel in Chains” (No. 5 of the adventures oJ Kathlyn). Prince Umballah, who purchased her at the slave sale, has her imprisoned in the dungeon of the Royal Palace. There she finds her father, whom she has, been led to believe was dead. The latter and Imb'allah engage in a fierce struggle, which would have ended with disaster, had not Umballah’s attendants appeared upon the scene. This wonder!ul serial develops along splendidly vigorous lines, with Kathlyn Williams (lirting with death amidst her pets of the jungle'. The comedy, “Wild West Love,” quite upholds the Keystone’s reputation as comedy producers. Other interesting films shown were the latest War Gazette, which includes Dreadnought’s big-gun practice in the North Sea—trench warfare—a British charge —and many others. The programme will be repeated to-night and to-mor-row.
