The 2nd Juniors’ team to play High School at New Plymouth is as follows: Crosson, Fabler, Clemmv, \ icker.s, Shotter, Petrie, Sheahan, Kim 11 (H>, Sharrock (2), Collins, Hignett. Robson.
Argument- began before the pull Court at Wellington to-day (reports the Press Association), in the appeal cases Alev. Penman v. Rennie ('lnspector of Mines). The appeals are against convictions by tlie magistrate of tho appellant, who is mine manager lor the Taupiri Collieries, Limited, at Ralph’s mine, Huntly, for the failure to cause all parts of the mine to be examined daily; and (2) for failure to see that the working of the mine was carried on with all reasonable provision for the safety of the men employed. The case has taken the form of a re-hearing. Mr Salmond (SolicitorGeneral), and Mr Gillies, appear for the Inspector, and Mr Skerrett, K.C., and Mr Touks for tho appellant.
