Godfrey Watson Steeplechase.— ilayonder 1, Flash Jack 2, Ungala J. Thirteen starters. Won by a length, five lengths between second and third. Time, 3rain. 51 sec.
The Amateur Turf Club has deluded to give all profits from its meetings to the patriotic funds until tthe end of the war.
The Victorian Racing Club has distributed £76,839 in stakes during the past, year, and £l-1,455 has been handed to patriotic funds. Merrimax has been scratched for the Australian Hurdles and Steeples.
A Christchurch telegram states that Chortle was scratched for the Winter Cup and the G.N. Hurdles on Saturday at 3 o’clock.
