GERMAN ATTACKS REPULSED THE AEROPLANE RAID,
United Press Association. (Received 10.45 a.m.) Paris, July 13
Official.—A German attack was attempted last night on the Labyrinth under the protection of a violent curtain of fire, but the assailants were decimated completely and thrown back. Fighting with grenades, rifles, and cannonading, we occupied Regnieville and Hois le Pet re. The Germans in the Vosges attempted to attack a bridge at Sondernach on the eastern bank of the Fecht, but were repulsed.
Thirty-five aeroplanes, despite a strong wind, bombed the military failway station constructed by Germans at Vigneulles lies Hatton Chatyl and serving the Calonne trench and the Apremont forest districts. Very important supplies of every kind, particularly munitions, were concentrated there. The aeroplanes dropped 171 bombs on the stores, and caused several fires. They returned safely, although they were vigorously shelled.
