A PRIZE COURT CASE. United Press Association, (Received 11.10 a.m.) Loudon, July 12. The Prize Court is considering an application to condemn a number of Scandanaviau vessels captured jading from America and bound to Cooenhagen with cargoes including 23$ millioh pounds of meat, and meat product, alleged to be for ■ re-exporta-tion to Germany.
THE SHAMELESS HUN.

The Manchester Guardian states that Germany is shamelessly attempting to make the United States participate in German methods by the communication of the names ol sailing ships permitted to go safely and thereby implicitly consigning othei'vS to their fate.
QUESTIONS in the house. (Received 11.10 a.m.) V London, July 12. Mr Samuel, in reply to a question said the war bonus granted to Post Office employees was Os per week on salaries of lOs or under, and 2s per week on salaries between 40s and 60s. Dr. Addison, Under-Secretary .or Munitions of War, in reply to a question, said that Mr Lloyd Gooigo had sufficient power, without further legislation to fully control the metal market in case of need. { V.. In the House of Commons, Mr Markham asked, seeing that the operations of the army and the Allies had been crippled and hampered owing to the War Office’s failure to provide the necessary ammunition, whether Mr Asquith would give an assurance of the dismissal of all who had proved incompetent.
Mr Asquith said no further information could at the moment be properly made public, and he was satisfied it would serve no good purpose, but would be detrimental to the best interests of the nation (cheers). Mr Markham: “Must we understand that the incompetents will he retained ?”
Mr Asquith (warmly): “The honourable gentleman must understand nothing of the sort. The Government’s determination is in accord with the overwhelming sense of the House (cheers).
