Mitylene, July 10. The Turks on Sunday night posted a number of mobile batteries near Kum Kale, and shelled the opposite shore. British aeroplanes at dawn located the batteries, and we sdencod their guns, the Turks losing heavily. The casualties among German officers recently have been paticularly severe. Athens, Jul ylO. The Allies’ ships and aeroplanes systematically bombarded the coasts from Adnunyti to Phoenix Gulf, and are bombarding Smyrna and Aivali daily, thus preventing Turkish concentration.
| Passengers from Corfu declare that the Kaiser’s villa lias been transformed into a submarine base. Two train loads of German officers and non-commissioned officers have a;rived at Constantinople.
London, July 10 I " The casualties include seventy officers, whereof thirty-two are dead, and 910 men, of whom 190 are dead.
