THE TARANAKI HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION.
The Tarannki Hospital Association held a meeting in the Foresters' Hall. Stratford, on Thursday afternoon, Mi F. Brabant (President) presiding. Over forty delegates were present, alio a very interesting discussion took place on matters affecting the Association. The report l and balance-sheet were submitted and caused a lot of discus siou. The amount received as contributions from members amounted to £1385 7s 9(1, and the Association paid out on behalf of members over £I3BO to the various hospitals for members' maintenance. It was found almost impossible to carry on the Association on a levy of 2s (3d per quarter, and it was resolved to increase the levy to 3s 6d per quarter so as to clear off all liabilities due tor members. It was shown that the fund had been of great benefit' to members. OFFICERS FOR '1915. President: \Y. S. Gilbert, New Plymouth (Druids). Vice-President: ('. I"). Sole (Stratford). . ■ Council Vacancies: Fvvans (Druids, Waitara). and F. J. Brabant (Waitara). FEMALE MEMBERS. All female members are to be admitted to the Association for a reduced lee of 2s (id per member for the ensuing year, It was resolved that any member in arrears of subscriptions will cease to bo entitled to the benefits from this fund. Owing to circumstances that have arisen private hospitals will be deleted from the Association's list. A motion to reduce the liability of any one member to £4O per annum was lost on the voices. The Secretary's remuneration was fixed at £s*o per annum. Mr Gilbert returned thanks for his election as President, and Mr C. D. Sole also thanked the Association for electing him as vice-President.
