TRANSPORT LINER MINNEHAHA IN TROUBLE.

RETURNINC TO HALIFAX.

Umtkd Press Association. (Received 8.55 a.m.) New York, July 8. The Atlantic transport liner Minnehaha is afire in mid-ocean en route to London. It is believed the outbreak lias been controlled. There is a heavy cargo of ammunition.

The Minnehaha is returning to Halifax. The fiie is reported to be due to explosion, and it is believed here that a German sympathiser hid bombs aboard.
