Uxitku Phkss Association. (Received 8.5 a.m.) London, July 7. An Order-in-Council applies State Control to the liquor supply in Bristo Newhaven, Southampton, Newport, Cardiff, Barry, Barrow-in-Fur-ness, Hartford, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Xewcastle-on-Tyne, Hartlepool, Darlington. Jarrow and Wallsemi.
THE IMPERIAL TOBACCO GO. (Received H. 5 a.m.) London. July 7. Tlie Imperial Tobacco Co. has subscribed a million to the shell and transport, and half a million to the war loan.
APPLICATIONS FOR WAR LOAN.
(Received 9.35 a.m.) London, July 7. Among the applications for the War Loan are the Australian Mutual Provident Society for £150,000 and the National Mutual of Australasia for £50.000.
DODGING TROUBLE. (Received 10.55 a.in.) Loudon. July 7. Replying to a suggestion tjiat women be employed as jurors, releasing men for war service, Sir J. Simon said he did not propose to introduce legislation ou contentious subjects.
LUSITANIA SURVIVORS' CLAIMS (Received 10.55 a m.) Loudon, duly 7. Mr McKenna said the Government could not compensate survivors from the Lusitania. They might, however, register claims with the Foreign Office.
