THE HONOR’S UST. THE V.C. AND D.S.O. AWARDS TO NEW ZEALANDERS. United Press Association. (Received 8.45 a.m.) London, July 4.

The Victorian Cross lias been awarded to Corporal Leonard Keyworth, of the London Territorials. During a fierce encounted at Givenchy from May 25 to 2G, Keyworth stood fully exposed for two hours on the top of a German parapet, and threw 150 bombs amongst the Germans, who were only a few yards away.

The Distinguished Service Order has been conferred on Captian Amyas Bordton, of the Black Watch, and Captain Anthony Marshall, of the Indian Cavalry. Both were attached to the Flying Corps, who made a reconnaisance, particulars of which were cabled on June 14th, Bordton being the pilot. Also the following for.acts of gallantry, the recipients being Mew Zealanders:—

Major Hart, for rallying his men while digging-in in an important forward position in the face of sevex-e fire.

Major O’Neill, for exhibiting initiative and resource while in command of a bearer subdivision. Major Waite, for gallantry and resource in rallying and leading his men at a critical moment.

Captain Salmonson, , for great gallantry on April 25,. in saving a difficult sitntion, rind also for an act on May 28, when he led a small party and advanced to the trench under great difficulties. Captain Wallingford. for exceptionally good services with a New Zealand brigade machine-gun and sharpshooters, and coolness and resource on critical occasions.

Captain Porteous, for gallantry on April 26 and bravery on the night of May 23. When all officers of his company had been killed and he organised and led the company, continually exposing himself, for four hours, showing fine military spirit and powers of leadership. Corporal Wimos, for gallantry in distributing ammunition and water in the firing line Under heavy fire. Corporal / Salmon, for bravely defending exposed portions of the positions.

Corporal Saunders, for gallantry in leading part of his section and occupying a vacated enemy trench and showing zeal and intelligence in stopping there. V

Corporal Singleton, for gallant work under heavy lire.

Corporal Steedman, for rescuing a wounded man and attending the wounded under heavy fire.

Private Stockdill, for recovering the wounded from an open beach under heavy fire.

Private Swann, for distinguished services in reconnaissances..

Private Tempany, for bravery during retirement, when he advanced to the enemy’s line under heavy tire and carried back a wounded comrade.
