The principal cheese prizes are divided between Taranaki and jWairarapa, Cardiff and Mangatuki being the local prize winners, whilst Daletield and Pa'rkvale score for Waiiarapa. Cardiff wins four first prizes and two special prizes, and also secures a big leg in in the Hy. Lane and Co. Challenge Cup and the Shaw, Sivill, and Albion Cup. In butter Taranaki is not so strongly represented, only five factories for this district competing. In the open classes Taranaki does not secure a prize, the honors going to the Manawatu district.
