LONDON WOOL SALES

At the wool sales, 8279 bales were offered, including 2439 New Zealand. There was a good attendance and keen bidding for good wools. Practically all the purchases were for. the Home trade. Good greasy combing merinos were 7J per dent, above last closing rates, medium five, faulty and all clothings unchanged. Good scoureds were five per cent, in advance. Fine crossbreds 7p per cent., medium and low five, scoureds five, slipes (good length) unchanged, and clothings live in advance. Merino ,lamb was scarce and five per cent, in advance. Crossbreds were unchanged. For the sixth series on September 7, the list closes on the iTtli August, or when two hundred thousand bales have arrived.
