FRENCH REPRISALS. THE REFUSAL OF INFORMATION Uhitbd Pxxsa Association. (Received 9 a.m.) Paris, June 29. Le Matin says that as Germany maintains a refusal to supply the names of persons detained in occupied Belgian and French territory, France has decided to refuse information concerning the German prisoners and the wounded, and disallow them to correspond.
THE WESTERN FRONT.
The High Commissioner reports: — London (5.10 p.m.) June 29.
Jn the Argonne there has been incessant fighting at Bagatelle ’with hand bombs and grenades. In the Vosges a German attack momentarily made us lose our advanced posts on the slopes east of Metzeral, but an immediate counter-attack regained part of the ground lost.
FRENCH PROGRESS REPORT.
(Received 11.40 a.m.) Paris, June 29
A communique states: The infantry progressed along the sunken road from Augres. In incessant fighting at Bagatelle an air torpedo and grenades were prominent.
