The High Commissioner cables from London under date June 2G, as follows : Mutton.—Poorer demand for frozen mutton, partly owing to the large supply of home killed on account of the dry weather, but there is no change in priced. Canterbury is quoted at 7£d for light weight North Island "id for light weight, ewes u's-Bd. Lamb.—The market is quiet, antl the demand, chiefly for light weight even of ordinary quality. Canterbury is quoted at Bgd for light weight heavy weights fours BJd, other than Canterbury B£d for best quality lighteight. . Beef.—Prime New Zealand beef is not quoted, as the quantity available is too small. New Zealand cow sides are selling at 7d, chilled hinds 9fd;~ fores Bd.. Butter.—The market remains firm. Danish is quiet: at 150 s to 1525, and up to 1545. New Zealand offerings are small in stock, 14.4 s and up to 1465. Australian is in good demand, small in stock, 138 s to 140 s, and exceptionally 1425. Siberian is, in good demand at 128 sto 1325. Irish creameries are in steady demand at 140 s to 142 s and up to 1445, Argentine 130 s. Cheese.—The market is steady with an improved demand. Canadian, quiet, white 92s to 93s and up to 945, colored 90s to 925. New Zealand market quiet, but steady, white 94. s to 90s, colored 92s to 91s, United States, quiet, 80s to 925, according
to quality and size. Wool.—The market is quiet with good emand. Wheat. —The market is steady.
