Mr Holnian, in a statement made at the request of the Natives Association, states that Australia's effort, to be proportionate to that of England and France, would mean sending four hundred thousand men. A further effort to increase the scale of our contribution is essential if we are to do our share in bringing the war to a victorious conclusion. He announced that in future no Government departmental orders would be given to Australian linns who-ie capital was mostly subscribed b v Germans.
