A sensation has been caused owing to Britain detaining Herr Dernberg on board'the steamer Bergensf'ord, which has been brought to Kirkwall, ,in the Orkneys. (Herr Dernberg was sent from Germany to America after the outbreak of wpr to promote the elements of pro-Germanism in the United London, June 25. i Herr Dernberg almost collapsed when the ship was detained, fearing to be taken off. It is understood in London that the ship will only be detained while searched -for'•contraband.'
