The Echo do Paris states that the lack of munitions at Constantinople is becoming more acute. The Turks are beginning to reinforce at Kirk Kilisse and Adriauople, fearing Bulgarian intervention in consequence of tho Allies’ last proposals at Sofia.
ILLNESS OF THE SULTAN.
Athens, June 25
In view pf the Sultan’s illness the Imperial princes decided that Yussut Izzeddui should assume the Regency. The Committee of Union was prompt to resist, and the Regency deadlock continues.
Amsterdam, June 25. There was a successful operation on the Sultan for a stone in the bladder.
NO TURKISH ATROCITIES.

' Inquiries made by the Defence Department from headquarters at Gallipoli fail to * disclose any authentic ca*se of Turkish atrocities.

The forty-fourth casualty list is.:— Wounded. —Major J. C. O’Brien (a New Zealander), Captains Aberdeen, Langsford, Rumball, and 241 others, including Sergeants F. G. Lawson, C. A. Brathwaite, Corporal J. Gibbs, Privates J. R. Goard, G. Keeley, J. Graham, C. R. Duke, the latter for the second time (New Zealanders). Killed in Action.—llo, including Privates A. Mullen, J. M. Roberts, L. W. Miller, J. McAhan, V. Matheson (New Zealanders). Died of Wounds and Illness.—Ten.
Missing. Ninety-two, including Privates E. A. Cahill, R. J. Mathieson, F. J. Thompson and W. Westnopp (New Zealanders).
