AMUSEMENTS.
H.M. THEATRE. A fair number of patrons witnessed the new change of pictures, and the first series of “The Adventures of Kathlyn” last night. No. 1 of the series is very thrilling and spectacular. “The Unwelcome Throne” presents something novel in the photo-play line, the Durbar and the crowning of the Queen being a wonderful sight, and the costumes used in tlio production are magnificent.. Wild beasts take a prominent part in the picture V A new series of the drama will bo screened every Monday and Tuesday. “In Nieuport Under Fire” is a series of the fighting in Belgium, and presents some wonderful scenes of this martyr country. A sensational drama, entitled “On Moonshine Mountain,” is by the Lubin Co., and is a new stray surrounded by exquisite scenery. “The War Topical” shows true scenes pertaining to the world’s conflict. Other pictures are: “A Trip to Uganda,” “The Hocked House” (Bunny comedy), and “An Incompetent Hero” (Keystone comic). To-night a big benefit will be given in aid of the returned wounded soldiers, and the management desire ail help possible for this needy cause.
