TRENTHAM MATTERS. ■ Pee Pkesb Association. Wellington. June 17. As a result of the outbreak of the measles at Trentham camp, a number of men have been sent to the Welling' ton Hospital, which has been somer what disorganised as a result. and three of the cases have proved fatal. The matte;,- was discussed by the Hospital Board to-day, and the Defence Department was* criticised for commandeering the city hospital accommodation in such a marner, one speaker remarking that it looked as if the DefeiK'e Department had neglected its duty in not having proper hospital accommodation of its own at the camp. The Board decided to urge the Government to make immediate provision for hospital accommodation at Trentbam. RETURNED SOLDIERS. Dunedin. June 17. Inquirv at the Defence Office showed that only a few of the men who returned by tlie Mokoia yesterday are seriously ill, many of them having largely or partially recovered. The reminder are suffering from a variety of complaints. Some twenty of the men were discharged to-day, the medical authorities considering they were sufficiently well to return .home. The remainder are undergoing medical treatment, but will probably be ready for discharge by the end of the week.
