CRANT HERVEY FORGERIES. United Pbkw A rpooiatiow . Sydney, June 17. Grant Hervey, re-tried on a charge of forging a telegram, was sentenced to two years, cumulative on the previous sentence. The judge, in sentencing Harvey to two years for forgery, said: "You appear to he a past master in scoundrelisni, and you are a danger to the community. Von have shown great ability in crime." Melbourne, June 17. The Federal Executive has passed an order under the War Precautions Act giving the Attorney-General power to obtain all information relative to food supplied. In the House Mr Cook severely attacked the Government in saying a national government was impossible. He apepaled to Mr Fisher to at least declare a party truce. Sydney, June 17. The Assembly has adjourned till Tuesday as a mark of respect to the late Sergeant Larkin (a member of Parliament), who lias been killed in action.
