London, June 16. ■ The arrival in New York of three jhundred young Irishmen aboard an American liner has freshly drawn attention to the apparently organised 'efforts to induce the Irish to avoid enlistment. All of them are well provided with gold, and it is suggested .that some agency has assisted their ■emigration. MOVEMENT ATTRACTS ATTENTION. UNITED '"BOOIATION. (Received 8.25 a.m.) London, June 10. The emigration of young men from the west of Ireland has aroused attention. A RED CROSS GERMAN SPY. (Received 9.35 a.m.) Washington, June 16. The State Department has ordered an investigation into the charges regarding the person supposed to lie Dr. Anton Meyer Gerhard, of the German Red Cross .who recently was raising funds in the United States, and was given a safe conduct home to Germany, lint who really was Dr. Alfred Meyer, head of the ammunition-purchasing department in Germany. The Government alleged that Meyer acted as a spy while ostensibly upon a Red Cross tour.
