AMUSEMENTS.

H.WI. THEATRE. The new series of pictures presented at Bernard’s last night were of excellent variety. “The latest Australian Gazette” introduces among others, interesting items showing the soft goods men and farmer? responding to their country’s call. “Raising a Sunken Yacht” gives a vivid idea of deep-water divers’ dangers. The dramas headed by the “Girl and the Explorer” are tip top. “Leading Lizzie Astray” is a great Keystone comedy. “Courtship of the Cooks” (comedy') by Edison caused immense laughter. This programme will he presented for the last time this evening. Tomorrow (Wednesday) the great event picture is entitled “The California Round-up.” There are hair-raising thrills introducing cowboy champions and outlaw horses and 'bullocks, and controlling mad animals.
