The "newspaper "Army Messenger," reports that a Russian submarine attacked- a Beet of ten German battleship's between Wilidan and Gotland and fired" several torpedoes. As she dived she heard a Joud explosion. The German fleet has recently been active near Riga, hut when convinced of the presence of our submer&ibjes, the mine-carriers sailed in a south-west-erly direction. A German second-icLiss cruiser struck a mine and was towed to Li ban. A Russian submarine sank the steamer Hiudenberg near Paponsee. BRITISH COLLIER SUNK. (Received 9.45 a.in.) London, June 9. The British collier Lady Salisbury, was torpedoed off Harwich without' warning. Sixteen of her crew wore' saved undj two are missing. j
