FIRE.
TEN-ROOMED RESIDENCE DESTROYED, i A' ten-roraed residence at Whareroa. owned l)y Mr J. Cassidy, Manaia, and occupied by Mr Arthur Nicholas, was destroyed by fire between 10 and 11 o'clock on Saturday night. The Hawer.i Star reports that when the family left to attend the pictures in Ha- i. wera they left a small fire burning | in one of the rooms, and upon returning saw the place in flames. Practically nothing was saved, although a bucket brigade endeavored to check the flames. The building was insured in the Phoenix Office for £425.
