STRATFORD WOOL, SKIN, HIDE
AND TALLOW SALE.

On Tuesday, the Ist June, we held our usual monthly sale of, above produce, when an assorted catalogue was offered to a large attendance of buyers. Wool of all descriptions was eagerly competed for, and crutchings reached almost a record price, one bale realising 12. id per pound. Sheepskins also showed an upward tendency, advancing id per lb. Hides sold better than at our last sale, but prices realised for tallow were considerably lower than those of former sales. We quote; Woo).—Fleece, in bales, 12-id; pieces in hags, 7d; black in bags, Bid; lambs in bags, IGJd; crutchings, 12id. Sheepskins.—Butchers’ f-wools 9d to 9id; butchers' f-wools, Did to 9;]d; settlers’ full wools Bid to 9d; settlers’ lambs Bid to B|d; settlers’ lambs pelts 7d to 7 i cl; settlers’ pelts 6id to 7j|d; settlers’ 2-wool salted, 6s 8d each; settlers’ dead and damaged, 6d to 7id. Tallow in casks 23s 3d per cwt, jn tins 21s 3d. Horsehair Is Gd per lb. Cow tails Is Gd per dozen. Our next sale will be held on 29th June, when vendors may rely on consignments receiving every attention.
