STRAINED RELATIONS. AMERICANS WARNED TO LEAVE, Amsterdam, June 5. Americans in Germany have been warned officially that relations with the United States may be broken off in forty-eight hours, and they must be in readiness to leave the country. The newspapers, discussing this, declare tiiat the threatened rupture would clear up the situation and show who were Germany’s real enemies. LOSS OF AMERICAN SHIPS. Washintgon, June 0. Mr Gerard cables that Germany is willing to pay an indemnity for the damage to the Gulf Light. It is impossible to clear up the'bombing of the Cushing. Aviators state they only bombed one ship in the vicinity of the North Hinder lightship, w*hich was not flying a flag, and had no neutral markings, but it is possible she was the i Cushing.
