CARDIFF NEWS.
The Patriotic Committee met on .Monday, w hen there were present: Messrs Belcher '.chairman), Richards, Rogers, Cameron, Marchant. An apology was received from Mr Crossley. Mr Haworth, lion. sec. of the Fancy Dross Ball Committee, attended with balance-sheet, showing credit [balance of £l2 7s 9d, which he hand!ed over. The balance-sheet was approved, ana a hearty vote of thanks accorded the organisers for their labors. Receipts for May were;— Fancy Dress Ball £l2 7s 9d, Dairy Factory £6 Is Id, T. Watkins ss, S. Rothwell ss, A, Johnson os, M. Wallace's (id, T. 11. Richards £3, W. Richards £2 10s, J. Richards, sen 10s, 'D. Cameron £! Is 2d, G. A. Marchant £2 Is (iti, Miss Willcocks 2s 6d, Fritz Crossley 4s, J. Rogers £2, Mrs Rogers £l, T. Belcher £.‘s 10s, Mrs Belcher £l, A. Belcher 10s. Total £37 1 Del. Of that amount the committee. with the approval of the contributors, decided to devote £2O to the Stratford Hospital Ship Fund, the balance of £l7 Is !);i being forwarded to the Government for Belgian relief, thus earning a £ for £ subsidy. Contributions will he thankfully received bv anv member of the committee.
