MEDICAL MAN’S DISAPPOINTMENT. Wellington, June 4. At Christchurch, Dr. Sandstou, who recently changed his name from Sandstein, applied to the Government for his passports, as he contemplated going home and offering his services to the War Office. On June Ist he received the following from the Undersecretary for Internal Affairs: “A our letter'was placed before-the Minister, who, under the circumstances, agrees to the issue of passports in your original name,” In re.sjwmse to an objection by Dr. Sandstou, he received next day the following telegram “The Government is unable to recognise the change of name during the war, and therefore will only issue passport in your original name.”
