GERMAN v. TURK. OFFICERS’ FATAL AFFRAY. Onitbp ABfIOnjATION (Received 9 n.m.) Paris, June 3. The Echo De Paris says that a German officer insulted and struck a [Turkish officer on the quay at Smyrna, when the Turk with a revolver killed him. Thereupon the German officers [endeavoured to arrest the Turk, and .the invariable battle ensued with other Turks and officers, several being ikilled and wounded. The Vale ol who hurried to the scene, had [a narrow escape, bullets flying in all 'directions.
