AMUSEMENTS.

H.M. THEATRE. "The Battle," by the American Biograph Co., will be projected this evening. It is stated to surprise any battle film shown at this picture house. There are shown scenes of revelry, the soldiers of rapidly raised regiments dancing with their sweethearts at parties given to farewell the troops, going to war as children go to picnics, scenes along the route of march. Then comes the battle. Other select films are: "Bathe's War Gazette," "The Boomerang Swindle" (drama), "Memories in Men's Souls" (drama), "Film Favorites" (novelty), "In a Prohibition Town" (comedy), "Bird Life" colored), "Santa Cataline Island" (scenic), and Charles Chaplin in "Those Love Pangs" (comedy). THE WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC. To-morrow night, at His Majesty's Theatre. "The White Slave Traffic," billed as "a film with a message of warning," will lie a star feature. It depicts in detail the methods adopted by those vile creatures, the white slave agents, to induce young girls to leave their homes on the promise of lucrative employment in foreign lands, only to find that they have to live a life of degradation . The film, whilst being vividly realistic, contains nothing to which exception can be taken. A full programme will support tins great feature (which can bo shown for one night only).
