THE TUMARUNUI SEAT.
Mr \V. T. .Jennings, in an address to the electors of Taumarunui. which he is now publishing, says:—''l regret that you are compelled to enter into another contest for this seat, for which I am again a Candidate. It is difficult for any reflective-minded person to enthusiastically go in for electioneering where there are so many .saddened' homes throughout our Dominion owing'to the killed and wounded of so many of oil!' boys who left these shores a few months ago in full life and vigor. Were not a duty impelled on me on this occasion 1 would not add to the confusion and jimety thnt prevails; but if I retired from the contest my-action would be misunderstood. You know my political views, ftsi-'r.have been before you for five elections, four of which you successfully'placed me at the head of the poll. When an occasion arose 1 did not hesitate to ,Place Principle before Party. ... If 1 am returned
again, 1 will go pledged to my constituents to do what is right and just to all."
