A statement of the consolidated fund for the year ended March 31 st last, as follows, in the Gazette tonight, shows that the period ended with a credit balance of £149,04.7. The figures are as follows, (shillings and pence omitted, last year’s figures being in parenthesis:— RECEIPTS. Balance at beginning of year £426,905, 1914-15; £709,508, 1913-14. Ordinary revenue £12,125,132 (£ll,961,492). ' ' Territorial revenue £239,622 (£190,444). National endowment revenue £78,770 (£72,401). Debenture under X.Z. Loan Act, 1863, £251,350 (nil). Debentures under Canterbury loan ordinance, 1862, £2,900 (£100).’ Recoveries on account of expenditure of previous years, £8,356 (£5,321). Unauthorised expenditure £63 (nil).

Paid to Post Office by State Eire Insurance Department for purchase of debentures, nil (£200). N.Z. Loans Act, 1908. Consolidated Loan Act, 867. Issues in renewal of debentures matured April 15, 1913, nil (£13,000).
