DRUNKEN FATHER INVITES TRAGEDY. (Received 10.50 a.m.) Sydney. May 27. At the inquest on John Henry Jones, dairy farmer of Lismore, Leslie .lones, aged seventeen, a son of deceased, was committed for trial on a charge of murder. The evidence showed that the father returned home drunk and quarrelsome, and continued drinking for two days. He threatened his wife and son. and chased them with a gun. The son ran to a neighbour's house and obtained a doubleharreiled gun. The father rushed threateningly at him, and Leslie tired at his father, who fell. Leslie then rang up the police and gave himself in charge.
