LOCOMOTIVE OVERTURNED

FATALITY AT TARINCAMOTU. DRIVER DREW'S DEATH. Peb Pases. Association, Taumarunni, May 26. A fatal accident occurred on the Tariugamotu Co's. timber line, close to the) Tariugamotu railway station. Yesterday, at 3 p.m., Frederick Drew, aged.,36, single, was driving a train, of about eleven timber waggons from'the timber yards to the station, being assisted by T. Spenc-e, fireman. When., within a quarter of a mile of the station, the engine ran off the line and tkg' locomotive .overtijrned. Drew Was pinned under the engine, his leg- being badly damaged. Help .arrived, and the injured man released in a semi-conscious condition. He lived for half-an-hour, but died before the doctor could arrive from Taiiniarimui.

Spence was badly bruised on the, head and body, but otherwise was uninjured.
