King Constantine of Greece is improving and the crisis has passed.

The death of Commander Ellis, marine superintendent of the Adelaide Steamship Company is reported.

Lieutenant-Colonel AVifred Robert Smith, Lord Beauchamp's A.D.C.. has been killed in Flanders.

Lord Stamfordham's son has been killed at Festubert. Lord Stamfordham is private secretary to the King.

The Xew Zealand passengers on the P. and 0. steamer Egypt, from London, are Messrs Rowelslie and Armstrong, and Mr and Mrs Morland.

The Hon. J. A. Millar, who has been lying very ill at his home in Auckland for some weeks, is reported now to be slightly" better, though still very far from well.

Word was received in Hawera yesterday of the death at Manutuke, Poverty Bay, of Mr Peter Livingston, brother of the late Mr James Livingston. He had been ill for some twelve months. Many years ago he was a. resident of this district.

The bride was dressed in white satin, tulle lace over skirt with pearl trimmings. The bridal veil was arranged in mop cap effect wreathed with orange blossoms. She wore a handsome gold bangle, the present of the bridegroom, and was attended by two bridesmaids. Miss May Garliek (sisterl and Mis Flo Parker (sister of the bridegroom i, who were dressed in cream serge costumes, and wore gold band rings presents of the bridegroom. The best man. Mr Can Garliek. and groomsman, Mr. Arnold Garliek, were recipients of dressing cast's as presents from the bridegroom.
