MORE MEN WANTED. Peh Prp«s Association. Wellington, May 23. A memorial'service in honor of the New Zealanders killed at the Dardanelles was held in the Newtown Park under the auspices of the New Zealand Patriotic Society yesterday. There was an audience of 10,000 citizens, which included the Prime Minister and the I Mayor (Mr .1. P. Luke). The Wellingiton (sth) Regiment, 1) Battery, New t Zealand Engineers, the Railway and Post and Telegraph Engineers, Army Service Corps, Ambulance Corps, seniior cadets, veterans and national reserve units, to the total number of 3000 men. paraded. The service was conducted by Chaplain-Major D. C. | Bates and Chaplain-Captain J. G. Chapman. Seven hands took part in the proceedings, and crowded streets witnessed the march of the soldiers to the Park. The Rev. Archibald E. Hunt, whose son has been wounded in Turkey, deIlivered an inspiring address, calling for more men. More men was also the keynote of the address of the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey. He was proud, he said, that New Zealand was doing her part in the gigantic struggle, and he paid a tribute to the silent work of the mothers and wives, who were making i big sacrifice's. Men were needed to 1 take the place of those who had fallen 'and were falling so gloriously at the Dardanelles. The Dominion would always do its part till Britain had concluded peace with honor.
