WANGANUI RACES. SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. Per Press Association. Wanganui, May 22. The Wanganui J.C. Winter Meeting was continued to-day in unfavorable weather. Light rain set in at ten o’clock and continued all the morning, interfering with the attendance, but (here is a good crowd. The rain lias taken the sting out of the ground, and the going is better than on the opening day. Results:—
j Winter Oats, of 200sovs., six furlongs—Hoy 8.12, 1; Veroneal 0.10, 2; King Chiara 7.4, 3.' All started. Won by a neck, a length between second and third. Time, 1.14 2-5. ! Balgornie Hack, of loOsovs., one mile and 110yds.—Client 9.1, 1; Salvia 8.12, 2; Yladiau 7.0, 3. All started. Won by a neck, a head between second and third. Time, 2.0 1.5. Grandstand Steeples, of 35050v5., about 2* miles.—Soporific 10.5, 1, The Pole 10.13, 2; The Diver 9.8, 3. Scratched: Vestal. Won by five lengths, Daylight Bill and Sportsman fell. Appin pulled up. Time, 5.8. -May Hurdles.—Conic 1, Black Northern 2, Immensity 3. All started. Rata Hack Hurdles, of loOsovs., 1 mile and 5 furlongs.—Awahou 11.9, 1; General Webb 9.0, 2; Jollie Fille 9.11, 3. Scratched: St. Gate, First Consul, Snowraker. Won by a neck, four lengths between second and third. Time, 3.3 3-5,
