ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A FATAL FALL. Per Press "Association. Dunedin, May- 14. The 1 body of Robert Wilson, assist'ant signalman at Tairoa Heads, was found lying at the foot of the clii'fs 'near the lighthouse this afternoon in a fearfully mangled condition. It appears deceased was missed on Thursday afternoon, but a search party tailed to discover him till to-day. Deceased was married and about 40 years of age. DAIRY FACTORY BURNED. Dunedin, May 14. I [nformafftm was received to-day that the Momonn Dairy Factory near Henley was destroyed by fire about 4 a.m. It is understood that a large 'quantity of cheese was in stock awaiting shipment, but fortunately 150 cases were, sent away yesterday. It is understood the loss will be fairly heavy.
KILLED BY A TRAMCAR. Dunedin, May 14. Mr George Burnett, chief clerk i" the district railway engineer's office at Dunedin, met with a serious accident shortly before six o'clock last evening. H ewas crossing the street, when be was run into by a tramcar, and thrown against one of the centre poles. Mr Burnett faqd several ribs fractured and was suffering from shock. Mr Burnett died later in the evening.
