ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
SUICIDE IN A LOCK-UP. Peh Pkess Association. Invercargill, May 13. A man named George Cooper, between ,50 and 60 years of age, strangled himself in the lock-up at Bluff to-night, Deceased had been drinking, and at home became troublesome and threatened to commit suicide. He was locked up, and at 7 o'clock appeared to have settled down. When a constable went to visit him, however, he. found the man had strangled himself with a ' long strip of blanket. Deceased was married.
