- NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. Per Purrs Association. Wellington, May 11. At a meet in" of the New Zealand Football Association, held to-night, Mr C. K. Fordham presiding, the following delegates were present Messrs ,1. Lewis, Wanganui; T. McLean, Auckland; R. Hutcheson, Marlborough ;F. O’Connell, Southland; W. Auld, Taranaki; J. F. Atkins, Manawatn ; H, McKeown, Hawke’s Bay; W. J. H. Reynolds, Poverty Bay; A. Kerr (treasurer), and B, L. Salmon (secretary). A discussion took place on the question whether a man was eligible to play for any association outside New Zealand if he is suspended t>y an association affiliated to the New Zealand body. It was finally decided to write to the English Football Association, asking for a ruling. It was decided that the annual meeting of the New Zealand Association be held on May 28th. All affiliated associations are to be written to for instructions regarding the playing of the Brown Shield and other representative matches this season. A challenge which was received for a Brown Shield match from Otago was accepted, provided the matches be proceeded with.
