REPORTED RUSSIAN RETREAT. Amsterdam, May 8. A German official message details further successes on the lower Dunajie, and says the enemy continues to hastily retreat. A small Russian force still resists on the Vistula. The Russians are retreating from the Carpathians and the West Lupwok Pass. The Aus-tro-Germans. crossed the Aisloka near Pilzno and Fastlo. A strong Austrian force in the Tukla-Rytano district bars the Russian line of retreat. The Russians made desperate attacks on the eastern sector of the Carpathians, and were repulsed with heavv losses.
