Official.—The Government decided that instead of taxation, there shall lie complete prohibition of the sale df spirits under three years. THE CASUALTY LISTS, EXPLANATION BY THE AUTHORITIES. / "Wellington, May 8. His Excellency tlie Governor icceivcd the following telegram from the Secretary of State : "With reference to your telegram of 2nd May, I may inform you the lists of wounded which have arrived in Egypt arc, despatched daily without delay,- No lists of the killed in action, except the officers', had reached Egypt on sth May. Lists of the wounded are not cabled through from the front. owing to the difficulties, hut are m;.doon arrival of the ships."
