FOOTBALL.
TARANAKI RUGBY UNION.
I A meeting of the Management Committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union Las held at Stratford last evening, when | there were present:—-Messrs McLeod (to the chair), Masters, Fearon, Nalder, Ryan, Lees, Buchanan, Hansen, and Skoglund. Eltham was granted permission to play first and second junior teams without a senior team, and a similar concession was made to Okaiawa. The Union accepted with thanks a donation of £l2 from the Wuitara Club towards the ifiiion funds. It was resolved to send a team to play Wanganui on June 3, provided a team was available. A sub-committee consisting of the chairman and Mr Masters, was appointed to wait on the Teachers' Institute, with a view to altering the conditions of the Bayly scholarship, and the Wanganui Education Board :s to be notified of the action being taken. It was decided that the season be opened on Thursday, May 20, for juniors (north) and Saturday, May 22, for all grades in the south. Selectors were appointed:—North division, Messrs Mynott,McLeod and Buchanan ; South, J. McLeod, B. Fearon, and E. Nalder; representative team selectors, Messrs Mynott, C. Crowley, and D. Malone. Mr W. J. Crombie was appointed delegate to the N.Z.R.U. Messrs McLeod, E. Nalder and the honorary secretary were appointed an executive.
