The totalisator receipts amounted to £9167, an increase of £4614 over the first day of last year. After the Cup the stewards held an inquiry into the running of Rene, and a satisfactory explanation was made. After the Flying the second position was awarded to Altcar, owing to Margarita boring in the straight.
