SYDNEY WOOL SALES. f I'NITBII PrMI A««or'T»*»"W 1 Sydney, May 3. As a result of the wool dispute an unusual scene was witnessed on the exchange. There were 7297 bales offered, a strong attendance of buyers being present. Not a single bid had been recorded during the week, for brokers ascertained that the freightage available was limited to 49,000 hales, but sellers to-day intimated that regular terms would prevail. For every lot called the buyers remained dumb. The wool buyers' action indicates that general provisions governing auctions are reouired with a proviso that if the Government commandeers oversea tonnage this depriving buyers of pre-arranged space and P'lyinent should he granted and froe store and interest charges.
