CRICKET.
(From a Correspondent.) On Saturday hist, a team from Iluiroa school visited Douglas and played a cricket match against a team representing that school. Although tiie season is now late ior cricket, the recent spell oi' line weather lias induced a continuation of the game, and a return match will he played if the weather still proves favorable. In the match played, Douglas hatted first, scoring .'l2 runs, the child scorers being \V. Lockheed 10 and Leo Needham 9. Hiiiroa, in their lirst innings, made 03, the most success! ul batsmen being R. Stanford IS, and I'. Hancock 10. in their second innings Douglas were disposed of for 29 runs, the chief scorer again being W. Lockheed 11, thus leaving Hiiiroa victorious by an innings and two runs. On going in for an extra innings, however, they wore quickly disposed of for 17 runs. Probably they had heard of the tempt-
ign spread (provided by the Douglas people and served by Mesdames Webb, Main and Jones), awaiting them in the hall, hospitality which was greatly ap-! predated by .the visitors, and which' they hope to return at an early date.
