Air J. 11. L. Stanford returned to Stratford on Saturday after a visit to Australia. Inspectors Ballantyne and Whetter, of the Taranaki Education Board, are to-day inspecting the Stratford School. The death occurred suddenly, through heart failure of Mr McCauley Stuart, president of the Victorian Commercial Travellers’ Association. Dr. Johnston, of Wellington, wellknown in the Stratford district, where he has previously worked, is acting as locum tenons for Dr. Steven, medical superintendent ol the Stratford Hospital, during the latter’s absence on annual leave.
